Last weekend I took yet another trip to the Highland Show at Edinburgh. As usually I went with a few friends and had a great day out. As an animal lover who lives in a small village there is so much to see that interests me.

As an artist, I also love to see what other artists are doing. Several Scottish artists are regulars at the show and mostly seem to enjoy the day. I have considered hiring a space, but have always found a reason not to do so. There is no doubt it is a great way to get your art in front of potential buyers. Especially as there are so many farmers and horse and dog owners in attendance.

Although I am always busy with commissions and original work I have tended to keep a low profile. I am fully aware that the more people that know me the greater potential to reach new clients.

2024 could be the year that I get myself to the show as a vendor!
